Welcome to The Montgomery Mercantile—where good folks, good cotton, and good manners still mean something. By visiting our site or making a purchase, you're agreeing to the terms below, so please take a moment to read through ‘em.

1. Our Agreement with You

When you shop with us, you’re agreeing to these Terms of Service (the “Terms”), plus our Privacy Policy and Return Policy. These terms are legally binding, but we’ve done our best to keep them plain and polite.

If you don’t agree with something, best to get out of dodge (click that X in the top right-hand corner) before checking out. If you continue using our site, we’ll take that as an "I agree" on your part.

2. Who Can Shop Here

You must be at least 18 or have a grown-up’s permission to use our Services. If you’re letting a young’un shop using your account, that’s your call and your responsibility.

3. Orders & Store Credit

All sales are final, sugar. 

Personalized and/or shipped items can’t be returned, no exceptions.

If your shirt or sundries arrive with a print or material issue, send us a clear photo within 3 days, and we’ll ship a replacement right out. We're not in the business of letting folks down. We need to photo to correct the error and make sure it never happens again.

4. Prices & Payments

Prices are in U.S. dollars and can change without notice. What you see at checkout is what you’ll pay, plus taxes and shipping where applicable. We accept major credit/debit cards through Shopify's secure system.

By paying, you’re promising:

  • The info you gave is accurate

  • You’re allowed to use that payment method

  • You’ll pay what you owe (plus any taxes or shipping)

5. Shipping & Delivery

We do our best to ship quick and pack with care. But once it leaves our hands, we can’t control shipping delays, lost packages, or porch pirates. Title and risk pass to you at shipment.

6. Product Descriptions

We try our darndest to make sure our photos and descriptions are accurate, but every screen is different, and lighting is tricky. Colors may vary. Items may look a little different than they do on your phone or computer. That’s just part of the charm.

We reserve the right to change or discontinue products at any time.

7. Intellectual Property

All content you see on this site—including designs, photos, logos, and quotes—is owned by us (or used with permission). Please don’t use, copy, or distribute our content without written approval.

Our name, logo, “The Farmer’s Daughter,” and ALL of our collection designs are trademarked. Keep your hands off ‘em unless you’re buying a tee.

8. Optional Tools & Third-Party Links

We might offer tools or link to sites we don’t run (like Instagram, payment processors, or email forms). Use those at your own risk—we can’t vouch for them.

9. Feedback & Reviews

If you leave a review, post a photo, or send us a love letter—we might use it in our marketing. You’re giving us permission when you hit send. Don’t post anything nasty, untrue, or that ain’t yours.

10. Legal Talk (Limitations & Liability)

We provide all products and Services "as is" and "as available." We don’t guarantee that everything will be perfect, but we promise to always try our best.

To the extent allowed by law, The Montgomery Mercantile (and our partners, family members, goats, etc.) won’t be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages—like lost revenue, emotional distress, or broken expectations.

11. Termination

We can refuse service or cancel an order at any time if someone’s acting a fool, breaking the law, or being dishonest. It’s rare, but we’ll do what we need to keep things fair and safe.

12. Governing Law

We’re proudly based in Alabama, and these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama. If something legal comes up, that’s where it’ll be handled.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, we’ll update the date at the top. Your continued use of the site means you agree to any changes. So check back if you’re curious.
